The Old Coach Road

Despite it's name, I've yet to find any evidence that this was indeed 'a coach road'. It must have came into existence because of some sort of regular use however, because a track as substantial as this would not have been built without good reason. And although this is not a pass in the strictest sense of the word, it has obviously been used in the past as a route linking the northern end of St John's in the Vale with Dockray. If further defence of this route was needed, I would include that it spends most of it's length above the 1200 / 1300 ft asl which matches many of the recognised major passes.
