Ambleside offers quite a few different car parks, all of which are very close to the main town centre. I should offer a word of caution though; don't forget to bring plenty of money to buy a parking ticket.

We had joined the track from the narrow path just to the right of the biggest tree.

Almost back in Ambleside now and looking over towards Low Pike / High Pike on the left and Snarker Pike / Red Screes on the right.
