Roadside, Harrow Head, Wasdale

There aren't many places here I'm afraid. However, because the spaces are still some distance from the much busier parts of Wasdale, you'll generally be able to find a space here.

A Close up of Greathall Gill from the path below Buckbarrow.

Lingmell and the Scafells from Buckbarrow.

Wastwater, Illgill Head and the Screes.
The small pointed fell on the left of the picture is Slight Side.

Middle Fell seen across the wet area between Buckbarrow and Glade How.

From Glade How, with Sellafield, the Irish Sea and the Isle of Man behind.

Middle Fell in the foreground and the Scafells behind. Taken from near Glade How.

This strange shaped sheepfold lies on the fellside below Glade How, in the middle of an area covered with Bracken. From a distance the bracken manages to hide the size of the sheepfold, which turned out to be much bigger than I though it would be. Notice that the middle section is almost heart shaped. The sheepfold itself isn't too far from the path up to Buckbarrow, but this is the first time I've walked across to take a closer look.

And again, this time with the sun shining.

A close up of Tosh Tarn.
